Macy Hanson is the owner of The Law Office of Macy D. Hanson, PLLC, a boutique law firm located in Madison, Mississippi. Macy has litigated cases in state and federal courts, or before arbitration panels, in Mississippi, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Washington.

Macy has successfully represented clients on over $100 million of tax-credit and bond-financed real estate transactions, along with recovering (and collecting) millions of dollars for his clients through both traditional and class action lawsuits, since he formed The Law Office of Macy D. Hanson, PLLC, in 2013. Further, Macy specializes in the areas of legal malpractice litigation, wrongful death litigation, employment litigation, real estate and construction litigation, business litigation, and litigation involving claims of professional negligence (especially against financial professionals, like investment advisors and CPAs, architects, and engineers).
Macy also specializes in lawsuits against banks and other financial institutions brought under theories of lender liability and fraud.
Additionally, Macy acts as general counsel to a Madison, Mississippi, based real estate development and property management firm that specializes in the development of public-housing-projects syndicated under Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Macy received undergraduate degrees, magna cum laude, in Philosophy and Political Science (along with a certificate in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics) from the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, in 2007. Macy received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) School of Law, in 2012. Prior to forming The Law Office of Macy D. Hanson, PLLC, Macy worked as an associate attorney with a large Mississippi law firm dedicated to the defending insurance companies and businesses in venues across the state of Mississippi.
Macy is a member of The Mississippi Bar’s sections on real estate, business law, and litigation.
A native of Tempe, Arizona, Macy, moved to Mississippi to attend the Ole Miss School of Law in 2009. Macy’s hobbies include hand-rolled cigars, playing the trumpet, coaching high school speech and debate, SEC sports, philosophy, economics, and barbeque. Macy is married to his wife, Lina, from Bogota, Colombia, and they have one son, Simon. Macy and his family live in Madison, Mississippi.
